It could probably added to pd_guiprefs.tcl. We're already setting a few things there on macOS that need to be set for the GUI to behave nicely, ie. turn off window state saving for just the Pd app.

i think there should just be a button in the preferences that says
something along the lines: "Open pd-patches with *this* version of Pd".

it would probably be better to handle this directly from Pd-GUI (that
is: write the code in tcl, rather than bat).
