Not really related to the original poster's prob, but being able to manipulate number boxes and sliders with the mousewheel when the mousepointer is hovering over one would be cool. Sometimes it's a bit hard to increment a numberbox without resorting to the keyboard.
Shiftkey for 0.01 unit increments of course.

i don't know FastStone, but you can print a patch into a postscript file with the "File->Print..." menu.
