Naturally, I did not ommit to run 'make install'.
Anyway, rest of the plugins are on the place. When adding [drive vlc( to pix_video, pd prints out no VLC backend found.
Should I compile again?

there are two different folders:
- one where you compile Gem in (e.g. /home/csaba/src/Gem)
- another one where Pd searches for Gem (e.g. /usr/local/lib/pd/extra/Gem)

i'm pretty sure you did not run
$ sudo make install
after running `make`.

if you *only* run make (without the "install" target), then Gem will not
attempt to install any plugins (or anything else) anywhere.
