You might try with pd -jack -outchannels X -inchannels X.
Turning audio on and off does not work in that version, I am in the process of adapting the jack driver to the new pd media system. When done I will make a new debian package and update the CVS.

I am runing pd + jackd on a debian system. The two packages from the unstable distribution work together without any problem.
My question is about the number of in/out channels. I would like to know if it is possible to run pd with more in/out channels than the number of in/out channels of the audio device, in order to connect other tools to pd with jack.
