Hi Olsen,

I'm no expert, first of all...

I don't know what went wrong with the command line. Have you installed dfu-programmer?

Do you know which version of the UNO you bought? If you bought it after may 2011 it should have the right firmware installed.

Are you sure you downloaded the correct firmware (Arduino-usbserial-uno.hex) ?

thanks for your efforts to document this! i was trying to follow your instructions - though i wasn't able to succesfully update the firmware. i went through the steps failing at:

~ sudo dfu-programmer at90usb82 flash Arduino-usbserial-uno.hex
Error parsing the line.
Something went wrong with creating the memory image.

before i briefly connected the pins two pins as described - no Rx & Tx blinking anymore but the L keeps blinking in regular intervalls.

any idea what went wrong?
thanks for help

Hi all,

I've created a page in the Documentation folder to help arduino UNO owner fix their board if they need to use it in
Linux (assuming that Pd users who need an interface to control Pd also need low-latency, and most probably use a linux
machine).

It's here :
http://puredata.info/docs/GettingArduinoUNOToWorkInLinux/

Mr. Steiner helped me with the formatting!

I think it lacks a link to Pduino, at least.

Please let me know if you think that this really doesn't fit in the website. I believe it does.

Cheers!

Pierre
