hola,
i have a good and a bad news for whoever is interested :
good news :
it's holidays and i had time to fix issues in unauthorized, maktng a
version 0.15.
the release version mentions the changes :
0.15
 * updated LICENSE.txt to HIPPOCRATIC Version 3.0
   with non-repressive and non-slavery options :
   https://firstdonoharm.dev
 * fixed mp3 objects using lame 3.100
( only tested on linux with static link to lame library )
 * fixed STK objects
you can get this version on giss.tv git :
  git clone http://giss.tv/~git/git.cgi/unauthorized.git
bad news :
it only works on Linux and i will never make it work
on other platforms as i am not supporting
  world domination enterprises.
ciao! & have fun !
chevil(a)giss.tv
ps : the patch from Jack ( Daniels ? ) for changing dynamically
meta-data in mp3cast~ is not included,
so, Jack from Marseille, either you send it to me,
or i can give an access to oyr GIT.
give up the sun, not the fun.
To Pd-announce:
Pd version 0.56-0 is available from https://msp.ucsd.edu/software.htm
or (source only) via github: https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data
cheers
Miller

It does seem likely that Apple would have changed the default filesystem for .dmg files created by hdiutil to APFS, but I think it is still possible to specify HFS+ by using the ‘-fs HFS+’ option with ‘hdiutill create’. I have no idea if the latest Mac systems can even mount HFS+ disk images. Removing that capability would be exactly the sort of thing Apple loves to do…

Hello Michael,
this was only extracted from the official installer and zipped then.
...probably not a long time solution, just to speed up the process.

I tried both methods. Miller's: delete the preferences in Pd-0.55-2 then
open Pd-0.56-0, but it won't open.
IOhannes m zmölnig's: a command with the terminal doesn't work either
(Pd-0.55-2 opens perfectly with this method).
Thanks
IOhannes,
> I'm afraid that "Macintosh OS 10.10 or newer" really means "this is our new-style app, and we are pretty sure that it won't run on older versions of macOS", and the claim of "10.10" is not really tested for :-/
Being familiar with Miller’s precise and forthright writing style, I very much doubt he would go in for such equivocation. Surely he wouldn’t promote untested claims.

I downloaded from https://msp.ucsd.edu/Software/pd-0.55-2.macos.zip. I can still download and open the package from there.

No inconvenience at all. Thanks for your help with this!
Mike Green
For anyone who wants to test I've put
PD for Macos 10.10++ users (intel i suppose) to
https://jayrope.com/pd561010/Pd-0.56-0.zip
Note: Havent checked myself on my older mac (10.14) yet.
I'll take that down, whe it isn't necessary anymore. Let me know.
cheers,

The Pd 0.56-0 application compiled for Macintosh OS 10.10 or newer, available for download at https://msp.ucsd.edu/software.htm, is contained in an APFS-formatted .dmg disk image, and neither OS 10.10 nor OS 10.11 can mount APFS disk images. Perhaps some charitable soul will make the application available in an HFS-formatted disk image, the way previous versions of Pd were?
(Yes, I admit to being too lazy and clueless to compile it for myself.)
Thanks in advance!
Mike Green
Bonjour à tous,
When I double-click Pd 0.56-0: the menu bar opens with Pd (preferences
don't open) File, Edit, Window, Help.
The Pd window doesn't open, nor does the menu bar in French (I'm French).
My OS is Sequoia 15.5 on a Mac Mini M2 Pro.
Thanks
