Hello everyone,
I used the latest pre-compiled vanilla distribution from https://puredata.info/downloads/pure-data .
I then installed a few externals according to the official instructions using "Help -> Find externals” inside pd. It worked well for iemlib and iemnet.
I didn’t get an error message when installing PdLua. The according files were indeed downloaded to my computer. Interestingly, the path to PdLua was not added automatically to the pd path list. It was added for iemlib and iemnet though.
Even if I add the path to PdLua manually, no Lua objects inside my pd patches are being recognised. Even not in the PdLua help files.
I’d be grateful for any ideas!
Greets,
Jens
I can't get PD 0.48.1 to run on a fresh installation of 18.04 LTS. It compiled fine, but when I try to run PD I get:
sh: 1: wish: not found
I've tried "sudo apt-get install tcl" but this didn't help.
It looks like others are having problems with Tcl applications as well: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1031632/tcl-tk-programs-fails-after-upgrade…
Any ideas?
Liam
Hello list,
Is there a way to get the bounding boxes for [text2d/3d] objects in GEM?
Essentially what I want to do is have centered lines of text on a screen
and highlight words one at a time (so 2 text objects displaying the same
text, one for the highlighted words, one not, justified left and
centered manually).
It looks like [text2d/3d] have second outlets that output lists "bbox 0
0 0 0 0 0" (which I'm assuming means bounding box) but these bbox lists
for me only ever output 0s. This is from a build from the source on
github done within a week or so ago but maybe this could also be
something in the build not going right on my machine if nobody else is
having these issues...
Thx

Has anyone done something like this using [struct]/[polygon], even just for
sequence display purposes and not editable via mouse clicking/dragging? I
did a quick search of the archives but haven't found anything.
