Miller, I still have 100+ pages of (handwritten, Dutch) notes on Pd-double. If you're serious about making precision-related modifications to vanilla Pd I'll start re-reading these notes because it's a while ago and not all issues were trivial or self-evident. The page www.katjaas.nl/doubleprecision/doubleprecision.html doesn't document the implementation details.

Cool - this would be a good conference paper somewhere, maybe LAC... But maybe it would be easier for you if I simply ask you specific qestions when I don't understand something in the diffs...
Not sure when I'll realy get to work on this - I'm also hoping to put in a proper multiple-undo facility (borrowing from Ico) and am toying with the idea of making it easier to bundle patches and their support files together somehow (so that you can distribute a patch that would have its own abstractions/samples/whatever bundled in).

The way we are doing this in PdParty and PdDroidParty is a zipfile named ".pdz" which contains a file _main.pd which is automatically loaded.
