I have added a new path to PD, where I have my patches and I save the preferences and close PD. As said I am still pretty new to PD, and this is how I did it in 0.47 version and it worked there
Thanks for the report.
This was slightly broken and I believe it's fixed now, just not in a test release yet. If you want to try, you can copy the update to the helpbrowser GUI script wit the following steps:
1. close Pd
2. right click on the Pd.app (probably in /Applications) & choose "Open package contents"
3. navigate to Contents / Resources / tcl
4. open helpbrowser.tcl in a text editor (TetxEdit is fine) & replace all of it's contents with the updated file https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pure-data/pure-data/4ceebf8ba41acdc2359435... https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pure-data/pure-data/4ceebf8ba41acdc2359435ffdfa2ea16f0de51cb/tcl/helpbrowser.tcl
5. save the file, open Pd & test

This also brings up the fact that, currently, the root help browser column is sorted alphabetically, so non-standard names end up above the "---- Libraries ----" divider. Not-sorting fixes that where the extra/ subduers are always first and followed by user dirs, at the expense of not being alphabetical. Probably not a big deal.
It would also be possible to have a second divider for user search paths and/or move the extra stuff above the first divider, thereby grouping the "built in" stuff separate from the user supplied stuff. Just a thought.

Hey!
Thank you for the explanation. I am not that much in a rush getting it working, just thought I’d share what I experienced, so it can be better for everyone :=)
Thanks for keeping this software alive. Best wishes, Jakob
