Here's a doc which tells you all of the debian packages that you need
to install in order to compile everything in Pd-extended:
http://puredata.org/docs/developer/Debian
There are lots and lots of packages, it should cover all objects in
"externals" as well as Gem, GridFlow, PDP, and PiDiP. Its a wiki page,
so please add any dependencies that are missing.

This is a big Windows release, and a bugfix release for GNU/Linux and
Mac OS X.
What's new:
* The Windows release is now compiled with MinGW and has all of the
same patches to the core as the other two.
* Preliminary international character support. It seems to work fine in
comments, not yet in objects and messages.

The exhibition "Experience Art! - fascination art and technology" shows
selected works in the fields new media art, cinetic art, cybernetic art,
interactive sound and video installations are represented. My partner
Giovanni Longo and I, Peggy Sylopp are art directors of the exhibition.
Beside works of renowned joint founders of the media arts such as Sound Wall
(Peter Vogel), Talking Machine (Martin Riches), Breathing Suitcases (Benoit
Maubrey) and the Flamenco Magnetico - robots (Nicolas A.…
[View More]Baginsky), there is
also the work of young artists, for example Camera Lucida: Sonochemical
Observatory (Dmitry Gelfand and Evelina Domnitch), Sonobotanic Plants
(Marije Baalman) and Metaforms (Tim Coe).
Also shown is my installation Crackling Water: the visitors watch a video
installation and are filmed by a camera at the same time. Their motion
causes bubbles to appear on the video in realtime. For the realization I
implemented the motion detection of pd in combination with wave simualtion
of vvvv.

now, this looks pretty promising ... do you think, it would be possible
to access pd's buffers with snd functions?
cheers ... tim

I have been working on getting everything compiling on Windows using
MinGW. So far, its working much better than my experiences with MSVC.
All of the externals in externals/build/src compile using MinGW (if you
have all the libs installed) while MSVC could only compile about half.
I have gotten Pd compiling using MinGW, but there are still some kinks
left in that process. Please give it a shot and let me know how it
works for you:
