Hey,
So I just discovered that on Windows and GNU/Linux, [pix_movie] has a 4th outlet while on Mac OS X is does not. This 4th outlet isn't documented as far as I can see, and the pix_movie source is not easy to navigate, with so many different files for the same object (pix_movieDS, pix_movieNEW, etc).
I am trying to figure out what it is so I can update the help patch. On Windows, I was getting a list of 5 floats.

it's the 2nd outlet of [pix_texture]. i am not sure whether it should be documented unless it is really cross-platform (so people can rely on its existence)

If it is there, it should be documented, including the fact that it is not cross-platform. If it shouldn't be used then it should be documented as such. There are already many platform-specific things that are documented, thankfully.
I checked in an updated help patch, hope there is no objections.

Terrorism is not an enemy. It cannot be defeated. It's a tactic. It's about as sensible to say we declare war on night attacks and expect we're going to win that war. We're not going to win the war on terrorism. - retired U.S. Army general, William Odom

the fact that it is not cross-platform is a bug. i don't see a reason to document a bug in the reference-file. (this is what we have the bug-tracker for; btw, feel free to commit this)
If it shouldn't be used then it should be documented as such.
why?

they should be documented but not in the reference patches for an object.
