I tried it in mid August following the mingw instructions on 64bit system, but could not finish it with success.
Unfortunately the computer is far away on an island, I have no access to it right now.

what i forgot:
of course i was (kind of) following the wiki-instructions [1], but they
seem to be badly outdated. my current system is an up-to-date
MSYS2/MinGW system (both 32bit and 64bit installations), and this is
where i want to build.
