so just to double check:

you cloned from umlaeute repo:

$ git clone https://github.com/umlaeute/Gem.git

then configured with:

$ ./configure --without-QuickTime-framework --without-Carbon-framework --with-pd=/Applications/Pd.app/Contents/Resources --with-defaultwindow=gemcocoawindow

what else in the terminal output?

im just asking all of this because I have never had that error (that I can recall).

also if you feel you have followed the build instructions very carefully from beginning to end and still getting error you should log it as an issue here:

https://github.com/umlaeute/Gem/issues

hmmmmmm....

Dear list,

I want to compile Gem from github on Mac OS X but already at confuger I got the error:

configure: error: GL (headers) not found! you need openGL!!

however
glxinfo says:

glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version"

OpenGL version string: 2.1 ATI-1.51.8

How can I compile with success? Any hints?

Best,
Popesz
