Try using a cube rather than the teapot.  My profiling shows that all of the time is spent drawing the teapot and the snap2tex takes nearly 0% CPU.  The teapot is twice as bad on the Intel "GPU" since the CPU also has to do all of the translation of those vertices as well.

Well, many people cannot return, because only Intel provides good open
source drivers for Linux, everything else is either crap or legally
questionable.
