If blue changes to yellow, either it's a cyanish blue switch to an orangish yellow, or it's not a RGB<->BGR switch. I think that for some webcams, the neutral hueshift is 0, whereas on some others it's 32768, and that may be another possible source of confusion (?).
AFAIK, many drivers nowadays don't support RGB nor BGR, so the confusion would instead be between YUV and YVU, which looks like a RGB<->BGR confusion, but can't be fixed in exactly the same way.
