The gemwin needs to be sized 1920 by 1080 too..

I have captured images up to 3840 pixels wide on OSX.  The limitation for a single window on most platforms is 4096x4096 and I'm not aware of any limitations in codecs or APIs related to compressing or handling an image file.

Have you had problems capturing a large image?
